It's my last week of freedom! And I can feel the pressure starting to sink in. But! Using my money-saving skills, I saved $500, no not on my car insurance, but on my books!!!! One book alone would have normally cost over $75. And I got all six for only $54.90. Do you read me? $54.90.
Yes. Yes I did. Fifty. Four. Dollars. And. Ninety. Cents. Yes. YES!
And here's what I have to show for it!! Six books! Not too shabby eh? ;) Yes, that is a Dracula book. And no, it's not for some Classic Lit. class. Nope. It's definitely for Vampire Stories. Yep. That's a class. Thank you UF for feeding my girlish fantasies! And giving me a humanities credit on top of it!
Oh Yeaaaaaa. I'm drooling already. :P
So now that I've gone off on that random tangent, this week wasn't all that riveting. I helped Nikki move into her apartment, which was a lot of fun. I have missed her so much! We went to dinner and to the mall, where I used my Express credit card maybe a bit tooo much.... It's just too hard to resist!!
I got these awesome pants, which I have lazed around in for most of the week/ weekend. Hey, they make my butt look pretty awesome. Why the heck NOT wear them??
Yeaaa... That song was written for me. I'm not bragging or anything. It's just a fact. :P
OKAY!!! WAY TOO MANY TANGENTS!
So we decided that we would take a photo in the photo booth!! I thought it would be the strips of photos. Nope. I was wrong.
But we got to go to Paris, so I guess it all worked out ;).
All week I have been editing photos of mine and Tracy's shoot from last week. It was really an awesome shoot. We attempted to do a Red Riding Hood theme, but by the time we were ready and outside, all the light was gone and the mosquitos were in full swarm. So although we attempted to live past the first 1,000 bites, we realized we weren't going to get many more shots so we headed back to base.
Then we headed into the pool. A pool? And your camera? Yes, I was terrified too. But we all survived!! And we got some pretty nice shots too. I haven't finished editing, but I'm pretty close to being done. Well no, that's a lie, I'm SOMEWHAT close to being done. But good things take time!! :D
Since I had helped Nikki decorate her room and apartment, I got the urge to change up mine a bit. So I cleaned the entire house, redid some of the downstairs, hung up some paintings and photos, and changed my entire room, WHILE my lower back was killing me. I swear I feel like an old lady. I need to go to a chiro. But that's besides the point. I love how the house looks!
My cuzzo painted that awesome painting on the wall. I think the colors in the living room do it justice =)
So, this was my room BEFORE I put everything away.
Yea.... Pretty serious.
And here it is afterwards!!
YAY!!!!! I kind of love it. Especially after that first fiasco!
So other than that, I went onto campus the other day to show a friend around. And surprisingly it was very refreshing! It felt pretty good to be back. But campus was TOTALLY dead. It was really like a ghost town. And with 40,000 students, it's pretty weird for it to be dead.
It was really cool being in the stadium again. I thought the angles and lines in this photo were pretty cool. So I had to share.
While on campus, we saw these awesome statues!! They were all over campus and look like real people. There were men painting, men on benches, and even replicas of famous works of art.
This is from the photo "Unconditional Surrender". Yeaa.. I was only a little bit excited about it. I'm not obsessed or anything....
Moving on...
(My mug says Good Morning Gorgeous! Isn't that so cute! That's what you get for being a Maxxanista!)
So yea! I literally sat around the house today, lazed around, watched a season of America's Next top Model (how can you resist?), and snacked... BUT! I did get a head start on lectures for my online Masterpieces of Art class! I already have 13 pages of notes. FML. But I relaxed by watching ANTM, blogging and enjoying a refreshing Bud Light Lime, which is surprisingly refreshing.
So, while I finish the season finale, and cross my fingers for Ann to win, I'll leave you with an awesome joke I read in Campus Talk.
Enjoy!!!!
xoxoxo
